Terry King - Head Coach

Coach King begins his sixth season as head baseball coach at Leander and has spent 30 years in the service of public education. He is also an assistant football coach for the Lions. Prior to coming to Leander, he was the head baseball coach at Arlington-Martin High School in Arlington, Texas. During that tenure, he made two trips to the final four and has one state championship in 1993. He received his bachelors degree from North Texas State University. Coach King enjoys golf in his spare time.

Coach King has been happily married to Tammy for the last thirteen years and they have five children, Micah 30, Brittany 28, Mavyn 25, Cody 23, and Tess 22.

Matt Grissom - Assistant Varsity Coach

Coach Matt Grissom begins his second year with Leander Baseball and his first as the Varsity Assistant. He began his coaching career at Grisham Middle School and Westwood High School where he coached football and baseball. He was born in Odessa, Texas where he developed his love for sports and competition. Coach Grissom attended Edna High School in Edna, Texas where he played football, basketball, and baseball. After high school he played college baseball at Concordia University in Austin for the late James Keller. He received his degree in Education and Kinesiology from St. Edward’s University in Austin graduating Cum Laude .

Coach Grissom is married to his wife Heather and they have three future Lion’s Matthew, Mark (10), and Emily (2).

Michael Hufstetler-  JV Blue

Coach Hufstetler begins his second season at Leander. He has coached baseball for 12 years, coming to Leander after coaching for 5 years as an assistant coach at Eisenhower High School. He has also served as assistant baseball coach at Willis High School (4 years) and Caney Creek High School (2 years).

He received his B.S. in Education from Central Missouri State University.

He is happily married to wife, Jill, and they have a 4-year-old son, Brock.
